PTOM and PLP Fieldwork at Kakoh Primary School

Testing PTOM instruments and Primary Learning Programme activities during fieldwork at Kakoh Primary School.

A young man and a boy sit together at a wooden desk outdoors under trees, both looking attentively at a tablet held by the man. A laptop and a water bottle sit on the desk.
I administered the PTOM Khmer language test to a Grade 1 student using a tablet outdoors at Kakoh Primary School, helping to assess and improve early reading abilities.

During my fieldwork at Kakoh Primary School, I applied my educational training by administering the PTOM Khmer language assessments directly to Grade 1 students. This hands-on experience involved using digital tools, such as tablets and laptops, to carefully track the early literacy progress of the young learners. Working one-on-one with the students allowed me to bridge educational theory with practical classroom assessment, ensuring a supportive and accurate evaluation of their foundational reading skills.

Highlights

  • Administered PTOM Khmer language assessments to all Grade 1 students.
  • Utilized digital tools (tablets and laptops) for efficient early literacy testing.
  • Bridged educational theory with practical, hands-on student evaluation.
